Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure-LANAP is a new procedure we are excited to offer to our patients. As compared to conventional periodontal procedures, the laser gum therapy offers a more convienent way to assist our patients with periodontal disease by using laser technology to go below the gum line to sterilize and rejuvenate the pockets of the gums. This procedure allows patients who may have periodontal disease due to smoking, diabetes, or cardiovascular disease to experience better results as compared to conventional scaling and root planing. Overall, laser gum therapy allows the treatment of periodontal disease not only a better result for the patient, but also a better and more comfortable experience as a whole which is something Merion Village Dental strives to provide for our patients.
