We are excited to now have the opportunity to offer ZOOM 2 to our patients. The advantages to ZOOM 2 as compared to ZOOM include less treatment time with a brighter result and less sensitivity as well as the power to lift out deeper, older stains faster. The treatment time for ZOOM 2 is 45 minutes as compared to ZOOM which was an hour and 20 minutes (this does not include prep time). In most cases patients see a whiter, brighter smile that typically lasts between 3 months to 3 years depending on their behavior that might restain their teeth including smoking, coffee, tea and soft drinks. LANAP- Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure-LANAP, is a new procedure to our office that allows our patients a more comfortable way of treating their periodontal disease. The LANAP procedure consists of using a laser that sterilizes and rejuvenates the pockets of the gums allowing new attachment to reform. This procedure benefits those who may have periodontal disease associated with smoking, diabetes, or existing cardiovascular disease along with patients who may have not recieved the best results from conventional scaling and root planing. |
